From seafood to spooks, you can sink your teeth into a couple of unique culinary events today. Baur’s Restaurant is teaming up with Lobster Bliss and Ocean to Plate to host “Go Fish: Pesce Amore, A Winter Warm-Up to Sustainable Seafood” at 6:30 p.m. at Baur’s. The informative seafood dinner will highlight the foods of Northern Italy, and will educate guests on sustainable ways to enjoy seafood throughout the winter. Each of the five courses – including Amalfi Coast seafood stew, lobster gnocchi, seared diver scallops and more – will be paired with an Italian wine. Tickets for Go Fish are $65, and can be purchased here.
If scares are more your thing, Victoria Price will be at Alamo Drafthouse today to share a few recipes from A Treasury of Great Recipes, a cookbook by her father, Vincent Price. The Alamo will be screening Price’s The Abominable Dr. Phibes while guests enjoy a feast made from Price’s recipes. Victoria will also share a few memories of her father, and will sign copies of her book Vincent Price: A Daughter’s Biography, as well as the cookbook. Tickets to the event, which starts at 7 p.m., are $75 each; grab yours here.
