You know Mike Dunafon: Mayor of Glendale, married to the owner of Shotgun Willie’s strip club, libertarian candidate for Colorado governor. He may not have a political resume with quite as much heft as his opponents, current governor John Hickenlooper and congressman Bob Beauprez. But he does promise to make things interesting by doing things like, say, recording libertarian hip-hop lullabies with former Fugee and aspiring candidate for Haitian president Wyclef Jean. You can (and really, really should) watch it below.

The lyrics, like the slogans on signs held by various demographic groups throughout the video, champion the more popular side effects of Dunafon’s political philosophy: Weed for everybody, down with taxes, etc.
Will you step up to support Westword this year?
At Westword, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $22,750 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $50,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of Westword, now’s the time to give back.
