Since shortly after your Denver Broncos won Super Bowl 50, there’s been open speculation about whether quarterback Peyton Manning would retire, so that he can go out as a champion.
In the days that followed, however, the potential timing of such an announcement has gotten complicated by an ongoing NFL investigation into possible human-growth-hormone use and reports about a college incident during which he allegedly pushed his bare anus and genitals into a female trainer’s face.
The clock is definitely ticking. Manning has until March 9 to inform the Broncos of his decision, but the free agent tampering period starts on March 7, when other teams could start reaching out to presumed-QB-of-the-future Brock Osweiler.
It’s a topic that’s definitely got the attention of Twitter Nation. Below, see what struck us as the twenty most memorable tweets about whether or not Manning will or should retire, featuring photos from our Denver Broncos Win Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara slide show. The list is capped by a video showing how he thinks Peyton will go out.
