That Time the Wild Lives Singer Kicked a Hole Through a Wall

Blake Pendergrass: “Wild Lives tries to go with with a group costume theme for all of our shows. These include spandex tuxedo singlets, a People’s Court theme, a football team, mimes, pink rompers, furry pajamas…

“Our first show was in 2014, at a short-lived RocketSpace warehouse in Globeville. Except for a small lamp, it was pretty much pitch-black when we played our 25-minute set. Our singer, Hans, dove over the drums during the first song and kicked a hole through the wall. The next day he went back to patch and spray-paint the drywall. Wild Lives is currently recording its second EP with Felipe Patino at Green Door Recordings and will play with Cheap Perfume and Bad Year at Lost Lake on December 20.
