Award-winning comedian, writer and actor John Mulaney is bringing his latest stand-up tour to the Mile High City.
In July, Mulaney will make history as the first comedian to headline the iconic Wrigley Field in Chicago as part of his “Mister Whatever” tour, but first, he’s coming to Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The April 15 show was just announced, and pre-sale tickets will go on sale Wednesday, October 22, before the general sale on Friday, October 24.
Mulaney got his start as a writer on Saturday Night Live in 2008 and has gone on to produce several stand-up specials that have been featured on Netflix, including “New in Town,” “The Comeback Kid,” “Kid Gorgeous” and “Baby J.” He had voice acting roles in titles like Big Mouth and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and has had a number of other television and Broadway projects.
The four-time Emmy Award, Critics Choice award and WGA award-winning Mulaney can currently be seen as the host, writer and executive producer of his Netflix talk show, Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney. He also has a role in the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios film Madden, an American biographical sports drama.
A few years ago, Mulaney had some of his own drama when he went to rehab for treatment for alcoholism, cocaine addiction and prescription drug abuse at the end of 2020. A few months after getting out of rehab in the spring of 2021, he announced his divorce with Anna Marie Tendler, who had often been the subject of his stand-up anecdotes, and shortly after that, his relationship with Olivia Munn and Munn’s pregnancy became part of a highly publicized “scandal” that Mulaney has joked about in recent stand-up.
Tickets for Mulaney’s “Mister Whatever” tour, including its stop at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Wednesday, April 15, can be purchased here.
