From sushi and onigiri to tamago (egg salad) sandwiches, options for Japanese cuisine in Denver abound. One of the most popular Japanese staples in the U.S. is ramen, and the Denver area is home to numerous spots serving a range of styles of the noodle soup, from the fan-favorite black garlic tonkotsu at Katsu Ramen in Aurora to the fresh-made noodles (a rarity) that star at both Dragonfly Noodle on 16th Street and Ramen Star in Sunnyside.

We’ve got trendy ramen joints like Uncle and Glo Noodle House, alongside hole-in-the-wall finds such as Sera’s Ramen Enclave and newcomer Japon on Colfax. But among all the options, only two Colorado eateries made the 2025 edition of Yelp’s Top 100 Ramen Shops in the U.S. — and neither is in Denver.

#34: Nana Sushi Thai in Evergreen

Open since 2023, Nana Sushi Thai is a family-owned spot located at 32156 Castle Court in Evergreen. It boasts a 4.9 rating on Yelp and offers four styles of ramen: tonkatsu made with pork broth; spicy miso; Sumire shio made with chicken broth; and Himawari shoyu, which features a chicken soy sauce broth. But the Yelp rating isn’t for its ramen alone — the restaurant also offers a wide variety of other dishes, including Thai items and other Japanese staples such as sushi, katsu and donburi (rice bowls).

#51: Nami Ramen & Poke in Englewood

This ramen shop has been serving at 11804 Oswego Street in Englewood since 2021 and offers a dozen varieties of the Japanese noodle soup. The lineup includes commonly found staples such as shoyu, tonkotsu and spicy miso alongside more unexpected combinations, such as hotate ramen featuring a clam broth and scallop base with seared jumbo scallops, bean sprouts, corn, wakame seaweed and a poached egg; and spicy pork kimchi ramen. While it has a 4.7 rating on Yelp, as with Nana Sushi, many of the reviews praise other menu items, including this spot’s build-your-own poke bowls.
