If you’re not into clowns, getting covered in Faygo or boofing, then you may want to head out of town on September 12. Or at the very least, stay far away from Mission Ballroom.
Yes, Insane Clown Posse is coming to Denver, and that means so are a whole lot of Juggalos. Stereotypically known for their consumption of the Detroit-founded affordable soda brand Faygo, as well as their quite expeditious use of drugs through the asshole while wearing a full beat of black-and-white clown makeup, Juggalos know how to party. We just hope that Mission Ballroom remains in one piece through the show (we suggest laying some plastic coverings throughout the venue).

Anyway, who said white people don’t have culture? ICP, which comprises the prodigiously rotund and fierce clowns Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, has certainly created a zeitgeist of its own since forming in Detroit (where else?) in 1989. Combining trailer-park tropes with a dark carnival aesthetic, the hip-hop duo found its niche, terrifying parents across the U.S. when they overheard such lyrics as: “Fucking magnets, how do they work?!”
If you’re down with the clown, though, keep reading for more information on the September 12 Mission Ballroom show.
