Can you think of a better way to spend the afternoon than soaking up more award-winning beer than you can drink? (That’s a challenge, lightweight).

Today from noon to 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., the All Colorado Beer Festival rolls out the barrels at Mr. Biggs Event Center in Colorado Springs, 5825 Mark Dabling Boulevard. The fest, a benefit for Theatreworks and the USO, features twenty breweries with upwards of sixty different beers; two live bands; a free history-of-beer documentary; a five-ounce drinking cup; and — of course — all the beer you can drink. Participating breweries include Tommyknocker, Breckenridge, Phantom County, Steamworks, Flying Dog and many more.

According to festival director Randy Dipner, “It’s all about getting in here, talking to the brewers, tasting beer for almost five hours and trying things that you wouldn’t normally try.” Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. For more information or tickets, call 1-719-262-3232 or stumble over to www.allcoloradobeerfestival.org.

Sat., Nov. 10, 12-4:30 & 5:30-10 p.m., 2007
