Keep Westword Free
We’re aiming to raise $20,000 by April 26. Your support ensures Westword can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
The folks who already bring you the Denver Handmade Homemade Market, a new model for people looking to buy, sell and trade their crafts, veggies, baked goods and whatever else, are now getting into education.
They’ll launch their first Denver Localization Project discussion, where speaker Arthur Brock, an expert on alternative economies and currencies, will help clarify DHHM’s goals, tonight at 7 p.m. at Green Spaces Colorado, 1368 26th Street. Think of it as a prelude to Saturday’s 4th Ever Denver Handmade Homemade Market, also at Green Spaces from 5 to 8 p.m. There, DHHM will be introducing “Dough,” an alternative currency that will be used in place of traditional cash. It’s a brave new world. Get in on the ground floor.
