Last weekend, spectators got a chance to check out the Snowboarding Grand Prix at Copper Mountain. If you didn’t manage to make your way up to Copper to see death-defying leaps of life and study potential mechanisms of injury, you’ll have another chance this weekend in Breckenridge.

Starting Thursday, Breckenridge hosts the second annual Winter Dew Tour on the first of its three stops this season. The tour will continue with later events at Snow Basin in Utah and Mount Snow in Vermont.

Thursday kicks off with snowboard slopestyle qualifiers for both men and women, and the men’s freeski superpipe qualifier. Friday has men’s and women’s snowboard superpipe prelims and freeski superpipe prelims. The complete schedule for the four-day event is available here.

Many top athletes and Olympic hopefuls are expected to compete this weekend, including last year’s snowboard slopestyle champ Spencer O’Brien, Breck local Zack Black, who finished third at the Copper event, and Steve Fisher, subject of last week’s cover story.
