Over the last few years, Vail Snow Daze has evolved into one hell of a party. “The big difference from other years is that this is the first year all the music is free,” says Natalie Fandrey, public-relations manager for Highline Sports and Entertainment. “One reason we’re doing this is to thank all the people who come to Vail year after year.” And with acts like the Barenaked Ladies and Robert Randolph & the Family Band performing, could there be a better way to celebrate the traditional (snow depending) opening of the seven back bowls and the Blue Sky Basin?
Snow Daze isn’t just about free music, though. With free swag tents at the top and bottom of the gondola, plus the Dummy Demolition Derby and the Snuggie Pub Crawl, this week-long event — which starts today and continues through December 13 — is sure to keep you in a happy daze.
