E-3 Events has been bringing Denver’s Jewish community together for two decades in the form of Heebonism, an annual Christmas Eve tradition that’s also the largest local gathering of young Jewish professionals all year — and an event where every dollar raised goes back into the community, to fund future Jewish cultural events in Denver.
Heebonism 2013 will be held at the newly expanded 1UP Colfax, just days after its reopening. Revelers can socialize, sip on free cocktails made by Golden Moon Distillery, check out the renovated digs, and dance to the beats of DJ Savior Breath and Samples.

“Heebonism is the one event of the year when all of the young Jewish adults of Denver gather together,” explains E-3 co-founder Eric Elkins. “It’s the one night of the year when those of us who feel marginalized by the Christmas holiday get to join with each other and reconnect.”

But everyone is welcome, he adds. “Whether you’re single, married, freshly divorced or decidedly celibate, or if you’re looking to hang with old friends, cross paths with the love of your life or just drink the night away, Heebonism has it all.”

Heebonism begins at 8:30 p.m. (with free cocktails until 9:30) at the 1UP Colfax, 717 East Colfax Avenue; tickets are $18 in advance at e-3events.com or $25 at the door. The door price will be discounted to $20 for anyone who brings new socks, gloves or hats for Jewish Family Service of Colorado.
