There’s so much doom and gloom inherent in global warming. That’s why the second annual Global Warming Expo at the Boulder Theater is such a refreshing change of pace. “We’re bringing it all together,” says event coordinator Penny Berman. “We’ve got science and business, politics and music, dance and art. This is all a way to get people to meet global warming with a heart instead of being fearful. This way, we can empower them.”
Starting tonight at 6 p.m., events include music by Face, Jeff Barrie’s documentary Kilowatt Ours, contemporary dance by Katie Elliott, a state-of-the-ice talk by Dr. Ted Scambos (lead scientist at the National Snow and Ice Data Center) and a policy discussion with Tom Plant, director of the state’s energy management office.
