The doctor is in. If you’ve been grappling with making your lifestyle choices greener, the presenters and exhibitors at the EarthWorks Expo have the answers you’ve been seeking. About 35 hour-long workshops are included in the cost of admission, including “Electricity: Let’s Not Be Fossil Fools!” “Green Business Makes Cents” and “Starve a Landfill, Feed a Worm.” Also, approximately 150 exhibitors will be on hand to address renewable energies, energy efficiency, green building, alternative transportation, edible gardening, green products and other facets of sustainable living. Two keynote speakers — author Peter Barnes (Climate Solutions: A Citizen’s Guide) and Michele Weingarden, director of Greenprint Denver — will deliver lunchtime presentations.

The Denver Merchandise Mart, 451 East 58th Avenue, hosts the expo from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow. Tickets on the day of the event are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors, $4 for youth; children under twelve are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. You can also purchase discounted tickets in advance at www.earthworks2008.com. Visit the website for more information or call expo director Michael Lindemann at 1-970-416-8700. And in case you’re wondering, the folks behind the EarthWorks Expo practice what they preach: This event will create zero waste.

Sat., June 21, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sun., June 22, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., 2008
