Ullr, the mythological Nordic god of winter, has already bestowed his blessing upon us. Twenty-odd inches of it, actually. In an effort to pay him back, the kindly folks of Breckenridge will do what they’ve been doing since 1963 in the name of the Ullr: drink. Beginning today, Ullr Fest-goers will indulge in a week-long debauchery of such fervor as to make even Dionysus blush.

Want to pay your respects? Make the trek up to Breck, don a Viking cap and indulge in the beer-soaked activities the city has planned: the Ullr Bonfire, the Ullr Parade, the Ullympics and dating games. Ullr would be so pleased.

For a full schedule of activities, go to www.gobreck.com, or call 1-800-936-5573 for more information.
