The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $25,000 by August 9.
The Narrators features local writers, comedians and musicians who are brave enough to share revealing personal stories with total strangers. This month’s installment revolves around the theme of (TBD) but that’s just a loose guideline, says co-host Robert Rutherford. “Though generally The Narrators has been sold as ‘creative’ people,’ we are just trying to invite people with a story to tell.”
The stories — sometimes embarrassing, often funny and always true — begin at 8 p.m. at the Deer Pile, above City, O’City, 206 East 13th Avenue. The event is free and all ages are welcome, although stories are sometimes R-rated. For more information on the monthly night or to pitch a story for future installments, visit www.facebook.com/thenarratorsshow.
Third Thursday of every month, 8 p.m. Starts: March 20. Continues through April 17, 2014
