To say fans were hyped when Colorado Springs author Rebecca Yarros announced an event with the Colorado Avalanche this summer is an understatement. When tickets went on sale in August for the November 13 game, more than 30,000 fans flooded Spinzo to try to secure one of the 300 available tickets.
So many people were devastated about waiting hours for a ticket and not receiving one that Yarros posted an apology video in the aftermath. And now the author is giving people who missed the Avalanche game an “opportunity to avenge that FOMO.”
In a December 8 Instagram post, Yarros announced another Fourth Wing Night, this time with the Denver Nuggets, on April 8 at Ball Arena. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, December 12, and fans must sign up through Jotform to get a ticket link. Those who sign up will be notified via email when the packages are available for purchase; however, signing up on Jotform does not guarantee tickets to the event.
The Nuggets will be playing the Memphis Grizzlies, but fans of Yarros will be far more interested in Fourth Wing details than Tennessee stats. Fourth Wing Night is themed around Yarros’s popular Fourth Wing romantasy novel, the first in the Empyrean series. The story follows the journey of Violet Sorrengail, who is forced by her military-General mother to join the Basgiath War College and become a dragon rider in the kingdom of Navarre – even though all Violet has ever wanted is the quiet life of a scribe.

“I’m so excited that the Nuggets are hosting this event and I can’t wait for you all to see the ideas they’ve come up with to make it an incredible night for you all,” Yarros said on Instagram. “And yes, I will be there! (But no, I will not be attempting any free throws.)”
She will stick around for a live fan Q&A, at least for VIP ticket holders. Those who secure VIP tickets, which start at $155, will also receive a Nuggets x Fourth Wing jersey, a vellum page insert with custom Fourth Wing art, a Fourth Wing book with a Nuggets book plate autographed by Yarros, a postgame photo opportunity on the court and more.

Standard tickets, which start at $58, also include the jersey and vellum page insert.
We know it’s from a different book, but the words feel appropriate: May the odds be ever in your favor.
