The best way to kick the Grinch out of your holiday-frazzled personality? A bit of the hair o’ the dog should do the trick: Bundle up the kids and everyone else you’ve been screaming at this week, and take them to see Broomfield-based Danse Etoile’s alternative take on holiday ballet, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Based on the beloved tale of redemption by Dr. Seuss, this dance version, featuring a crack cast of dancers who can also act, will provide a needed break from shopping, baking, wrapping and being cooped up with too many visiting family members. Humbug, indeed.
Give a little: Catch the Grinch tonight at 7 p.m. at the Broomfield Auditorium, 3 Community Park Road; tickets are $10 to $12 (or $40 for a family of four), and admission includes homemade goodies, tea, coffee and cocoa with the cast after the show. For details go to www.danseetoile.org or call 720-938-3030.
