At the grand reopening of Restoration Hardware as RH Gallery in Cherry Creek, we spotted mom and “semi-retired pastry professional” Deirdre Fayfield in a floral-print jumpsuit by Kate Spade. Her outfit had to undergo “a few rounds of alterations, which most jumpsuits need to fit correctly,” says Fayfield. We grabbed a few minutes to ask her more about her style philosophy.
Style inspirations/icons: Retro fashion with some bohemian, after three kids. I love color. Betty Draper, Jackie Kennedy. Olivia Palermo always looks great. I was meant for another era, the ’50s or ’60s. Classic silhouettes, full skirts, lady dresses, great-fitting shirtdresses, anything feminine. I feel like Taylor Swift’s big sister sometimes, pre-1989.  Shops at: With limitless funds, I’d be in Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Erdem, Giambattista. But as a mom, I settle for JCrew, Kate Spade, Madewell, MSGM and AG Stevies on the bottom.

Favorite accessory: I am not really an accessories girl — imagine that. I always have to borrow from my big sis.

Favorite color:
Pink, any shade, and red.  Style mantra: Since I stay up late baking and party crafting, I always look tired. I have always repeated the classic and mundane adage, “Look good, feel good, do good.” Because how much better do you feel when rocking a great outfit? They distract from the bags under my eyes.

Like Fayfield, look good, feel good and do good, Denver.
