As Miss Talulah proprietor Robin Lohre sadly puts it, it’s time to open your purse and pick up a “little piece of Talulah history.” The girly store, which once upon a time moved from the Ballpark neighborhood to pioneer a space in Stapleton’s Town Center, 7477 East 29th Place, is closing at the end of October — and the big sale, offering discounts of 20 to 75 percent, officially kicks off today, during the July installment of the Sweet William Market. You know what that means: It’s a beautiful day for a shopping paradise, featuring fab flea finds outdoors and sweet trinkets or stylish baby frocks indoors.
Happily, Talulah’s not-so-little cousin, Talulah Jones, at 1122 East 17th Avenue, is not going anywhere. Lohre’s expanded that store’s floor space and will be moving some popular items from the Stapleton location there, including La Vie jewelry and vintage ribbon. Go forth and shop.
And if that’s not enough, more shop ops pop up when Orange Cat Studios, 2625 Larimer Street, hosts the Bizarre Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This flea market with a twist features outrageous costume attire of every shade, including faux fur, hula hoops, hats and more; complimentary mimosas will be poured for lucky, loopy early-bird shoppers.
