Far across the sea in Pamplona, Spain, over the weekend, thousands of people gathered for some reason to run along narrow streets toward the sole ambition of not getting gored by a pissed-off bull. In Denver, the stakes were lower and the injuries far less grievous, but the good times still got rolled out for the Highland Running of the Bulls, which was basically the same thing as the Pamplona one except for instead of bulls, there were Rocky Mountain Roller Girls weilding Wiffle bats and other blunt-but-low-impact instruments of destruction. Photographer Stephen Cummings went out and stared into the face of mild danger to bring back these photos.
