Regular old marathons, triathlons and century rides not grueling enough for you? The Adventure Xstream Series comes to Colorado on May 14 for AXS Buena Vista, and registration ($135-$235 depending on the race option) is still open through May 11. The event will send competitors whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, trail running and orienteering — and across a 400-foot Tyrolean traverse — with race routes in 30-mile, 50-mile and 100-mile options that could take competitors up to 24 hours to complete.
The Buena Vista adventure race will be a spectacular course held in the Arkansas River Valley. The area aptly named “Headwaters of Adventure” because of the classic whitewater rafting and mountain biking options throughout the Buena Vista and Salida area. This will be a challenging course incorporating all of the numerous AR disciplines into the event.
