Tonight, Erica Sodos brings her magical variety show to the Mercury Cafe (2199 California St.) once again for an evening of mystery, poetry and of course, magic. Taking on a role generally played by men, the Boulder-based magician flips the script with her own spin on classic illusions and magic tricks, while utilizing members of the audience in place of traditionally female assistants.
Within her show, Sodos incorporates elements of dance and performance art, as well as selected readings and theatrical skits with multiple costume changes. Erica Sodos “Return of Magic” performance is all ages, and goes down tonight at the Merc at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10, and can be purchased at the door or by calling (303) 294-9258.
