She may not have nabbed all five Olympic medals like she hoped, but Lindsey Vonn still gets to be the most decorated American skier of all time: She just captured her third straight World Cup overall title after winning the super G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. That brings her total to 33 World Cup wins–one more than Bode Miller.
She also closes out an incredible season as the overall World Cup winner in downhill, super-G, and super combined. With 11 total wins last season (in addition to the Olympics), her utter domination of women’s international skiing is complete.
She dropped plans to race in the upcoming slalom overall championship, noting that her body has taken a serious beating of late.
“I wanted to go for the American wins record and I wanted to finish things off right,” Vonn said. “I’m resting. My body is broken.”
Meanwhile, Julia Mancuso crashed out of the race. Don’t worry, Julia: There’s always Hawaii.
