Valentine’s Day in Denver is like a heart-shaped box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get, but there’s sure to be something for everyone’s tastes.
If you think roses and candlelit dinners are for squares, then you’re in the right place. But don’t write off Cupid’s Day of Love when you might find someone to match your freak while learning about the art of the Victorian Nude at the Molly Brown House Museum or animal mating rituals at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
Here are some weird Valentine’s Day events you just might fall in love with:
Voodoo Doughnut Wedding Ceremony Package

Meanwhile, couples who enter the giveaway and already have a wedding venue secured may opt to receive a custom doughnut wedding package. Enter here.
Art of the Victorian Nude
Thursday, February 12, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Molly Brown House Museum, 1340 Pennsylvania Street

Thursday, February 12, 7 p.m.
Denver Museum of Nature & Science, 2001 Colorado Boulevard
What’s more romantic than…fantasizing about Charles Darwin? Just kidding, you probably won’t be fantasizing, but you will find yourself engaged in a lively mini-lecture with Paula Cushing, senior curator of invertebrate zoology, and Andrew Doll, zoology collections manager, as they reveal the wild world of animal mating rituals — a playful, steamy look at love in nature. Tickets are available here.
