Denver’s infamously troubled dating scene may have finally brought Love is Blind to its knees.

The latest episodes of the Netflix reality show were released on Wednesday, October 15, showing two couples call it quits around a week before their wedding day. Nick dumped Annie in episode ten as she literally begged him to continue the relationship, and Joe cut things off with Madison in episode eleven after he sprinted out of his tux fitting in a panic. This comes after Kacie and Patrick imploded within hours of meeting in person earlier in the season.

That leaves just three of the six engaged couples still together going into the finale. But based on the preview, only two will make it to the altar. None of the footage of the upcoming weddings features Megan or Jordan, all but confirming that their argument about conflicting lifestyles at the end of episode eleven will result in their split.

If neither of the two surviving couples say “I do” (and it’s not looking good), this will be the first season in Love is Blind history to end without a single marriage.

Editor's Picks

Before coming to Denver for season nine, Love is Blind filmed eight seasons in eight different cities: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, Houston, Charlotte, D.C. and Minneapolis.

Seasons one, two and three each ended with two marriages and five weddings (with three couples saying no at the altar). Season four in Seattle had three marriages and four weddings, making it the most successful season.

The more recent seasons have had fewer couples make it to the nuptials. Seasons five, six and seven each had only two weddings, the same as Denver’s season nine. But seasons five and six still made out with one marriage each, and season seven secured two. Season eight saw a return to form with four weddings, but only one marriage.

Although most of the relationships on Love is Blind crash and burn, the show has so far managed to maintain that some contestants do find love every season. That remains true for the show’s many international spinoffs, including in Brazil, Japan, Sweden, Mexico and the United Kingdom. That may soon come to an end in the Mile High City.

One of the two couples remaining is Kalybriah and Edmond, who have fought nonstop since returning to Denver. The pair can’t even go snowmobiling or attend a reunion party without things devolving into a shouting match. In episode eleven, three days before the wedding, Kalybriah said she wasn’t sure if she had anything left to give to the relationship. Based on this, they’ll likely say no at the altar — and they absolutely should, for both of their sakes (but mostly for Kalybriah’s sake).

Without them, the fate of the season is left in the hands of Ali and Anton. The couple has had the least amount of drama by far this season, but red flags have slowly crept up: most significantly, Ali’s concern that Anton drinks too much and their apparent misalignment regarding their roles within a marriage.

These issues would likely slowly end a relationship in real life. But who knows? With the show’s lightning-fast timeline and reality TV fame at stake, Ali and Anton could push past their better judgment and tie the knot.

In previous seasons, fans have used marriage records to reveal the fate of Love is Blind couples before the finale. This time around, Stylecaster reported that none of the contestants filed for marriage licenses, according to a search of Denver public records. However, it is possible that Netflix changed its strategy to avoid spoilers, perhaps not allowing the couples to get legally married until the show is over.

Regardless, it is fair to say that Denver’s season has proven once and for all that love is not blind.

Episodes one through eleven of Love is Blind: Denver are available now on Netflix. Episode twelve will be released on Wednesday, October 22.
