From photography to installation to sculpture, this juried show features recent work in diverse mediums from more than thirty artists with different levels of experience. What ties them all together is the way they relinquish control over the outcome of their work and leave elements open to chance and inspiration. One of Reeves's favorite pieces is Kendall Thompson's "Blink," which captures the unexpected moment of a woman blinking. "I think it requires fearlessness and bravery," she explains. "When it's successful, I think it's because of it being created in a sincere way, where the artist is almost confronted with a problem and then they have to work to figure out that puzzle and their piece."
