As an activist who became the first black archbishop of Cape Town and has fought against AIDS, poverty and racism, Tutu has proven that one person can make a significant and positive difference in the world, a notion best summed up in his own words: Do your little bit of good where you are; its those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world. Insights Annette Brant notes that Tutus appearance will be particularly timely: Everyones just in a state of uncertainty. How can we move productively? How can we get to the other side of this?
This rare opportunity takes place tonight at 7 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Theatre in the Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th Street. Mayor John Hickenlooper will give the introduction, and the evening will culminate with an audience Q&A session. While tickets are sold as packages for the series, single event tickets are now available for Archbishop Tutu, for $96; purchase yours at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts box office, or at www.insightspeakers.com or 303-893-4100.
