Last month, Westword launched "It's a Date," a new feature in which we help readers plan dates in and around Denver, a city that has been burned for its notoriously disappointing dating scene.

If you hated our last date for sugar daddies, this week's reader is looking for affordable fun. "For the budget, I'm thinking around $20 to $50," Fiona writes. "As for interests, we both love music (especially K-pop) and are huge foodies. We're always up for trying something new in town, and I personally enjoy exploring different events in Denver and other areas around Colorado."

Here you go, Fiona! Pick from these five components to create a fun day:

Take a K-Pop Dance Class at Elemental Studios
4668 Glencoe Street

Elemental Studios holds a K-pop dance class from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. every Thursday. Sign up for $20 per person, and dive into the world of K-pop, immersing yourself in the energetic choreography and dynamic music of the genre.

Or: Take a K-Pop Dance Class at Mi Chantli Studio
1750 30th Street, Unit 22, Boulder

Would you rather plan your date for a Saturday? Mi Chantli Studio in Boulder offers a K-pop dance class from noon to 1:15 p.m. every Saturday. Drop in for $20 and learn fun choreography to K-pop hits.

Get a Good Cheese-Pull at 88 Hotdog Juicy
2225 South Peoria Street, Aurora

You can work up an appetite with all that dancing. Time to head to Aurora, where 88 Hotdog Juicy specializes in Korean street food and... smoothies? Foodies know that the cheese-pull is in; see how long of a cheese pull you can achieve with a corn dog that comes stuffed with cheese and crusted with potatoes if you'd like. Smoothies range from the typical strawberry-banana, blueberry and pineapple flavors to some more adventurous options, including honeydew, avocado and even tomato.

Drinks at Thank Sool Pocha
2222 South Havana Street, Aurora
In keeping with the K-pop theme, move on to Korean pub Thank Sool Pocha, which offers a wide variety of alcoholic beverages like the pocha lychee cocktail, peach rice wine and black raspberry soju, as well as a tempting menu of kebabs, bento, ramen and more. "We keep a steady stream of the best K-pop playing for a fun after-hours atmosphere," the pub advertises on its website.

Attend a Different Kind of Pop Event Downtown
Saturday, March 8, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Outdoors at Independence Plaza, located on 16th Street between Arapahoe and Curtis Streets
Pop over to the opening celebration of "POP!," an interactive art installation that the Downtown Denver Partnership says is "an invitation to rediscover joy through collective participation and unexpected connections." "POP!" by Gentilhomme features Popo, Popup, Poplu, Popette and Popotin — five playful characters who are hidden inside the monoliths. Visitors must engage directly with the installation by speaking into a microphone to persuade the characters to spring from their hideaways. Once freed, the personalities will kick off a celebration filled with music and movement. Who knows? Maybe Popo, Poplu and so on will figure out how to bring more daters back downtown.
