Tickets are on sale now for Titanic: An Immersive Voyage, opening in May at Exhibition Hub Art Center Denver. The immersive experience will take passengers on a journey through the ship's construction to its fatal end with an iceberg. It's a fitting addition to the Mile High City, which has put itself on the map as a destination for the immersive, but also is home to the Molly Brown House Museum, where Margaret Brown (she never went by "Molly"), actually lived.
Is your jaw still hanging as you wonder why anyone would want to experience the horrors of the Titanic? Here's the answer to some of your questions.
What Is Titanic: An Immersive Voyage?
The exhibit's website advertises it as a "once-in-a-lifetime expedition to experience Titanic." The installation features more than 300 artifacts, dramatic re-creations, 3D videos and animations and immersive galleries in which participants can walk through the Titanic's halls, see the ship's construction and "come face-to-face with the Iceberg." A virtual reality option that tours the wreck site 2.5 miles beneath the sea is also included for guests over six years old. The entire experience takes sixty to ninety minutes. The exhibit is produced by Fever and Exhibition Hub, a national outfit.
