“I think the holidays are for families, which is great,” notes Denver burlesque queen Vivienne VaVoom (aka Michelle Baldwin), “but sometimes you want to step away and go to an adult-themed event. And that’s definitely what this is.”

So if the sugar-sweet tone of the season has already got you self-medicating, consider stepping away from the eggnog and heading to MCA Denver’s rooftop cafe for tonight’s VaVoom-hosted version of Black Sheep Fridays, the occasional series that takes on a different topic at each gathering, offering a twisted demonstration/debate/performance for your viewing pleasure.

“I’m helping to put the X back into Xmas, so I’m going to be doing a pastie-decorating demonstration,” says VaVoom. “You can decorate them like cookies! And there will be naughty erotic cookies there, as well, and GiGi Delovely will also be performing lots of burlesque-y stuff.”
