No one embodies the glitz, the glamour or the glib insanity of Las Vegas like Wayne Newton. “I just think, whether you like him or not, he’s a cultural icon,” says Vonalda Utterback of the Theater Company of Lafayette. “He’s Mr. Las Vegas, by his own admission.” Now Mr. Las Vegas is being celebrated in 10,000 Wayniacs, a collection of eleven brand-new short comedic plays about Sin City and the man himself.

Catch the show at 7:30 p.m. tonight or tomorrow, or at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Mary Miller Theater, 300 East Simpson Street in Lafayette. You can purchase tickets for $10 online, or take a chance in true Vegas style and roll the dice at the box office to determine your price; however they come up, it’ll be cheaper than a trip to Vegas.
