Lyft, CDOT and Pot Industry Giving Ride Discounts to Decrease Stoned Driving

To help combat the risk of driving a car while under the influence of cannabis, three organizations at the center of the issue are giving out ride-sharing discounts for users across Colorado. Lyft, the Colorado Department of Transportation and the Marijuana Industry Group have teamed up again to encourage users to plan ahead for a sober ride through their collaborative 320 Movement program, offering monthly ride discounts through April 2018.

Brookings Institute Calls Out Jeff Sessions for Blocking MMJ Research

One of the country’s most well-known think tanks is calling out United States Attorney General Jeff Sessions for his repressive attitude towards cannabis, particularly medical marijuana. The Brookings Institution released an op-ed Wednesday, October 25, criticizing his “biases on the issue, a division of opinion between him and the president he serves, and a federal government effort to stand in the way of the free conduct of research” in regards to growing medical marijuana for research purposes.
