Street-style artists Jolt and Quentin "Omni" Rice will show off a series of large-scale "abstract-expressionist-meets-graffiti-futurism" pieces created on seven twenty-by-twenty-foot walls at the GuerillaGarden warehouse.

"This is going to be the biggest show we've had in three years, and I mean that literally," says Jolt, a 2010 Westword MasterMind. "We're going to try to get everybody out of their element a little bit and mix up the Denver art scene. We'll have some wine-sippers mingling with weed-smokers, skater punk-rock graffiti kids meeting museum curators and art collectors."

Car-maker Scion is a presenting sponsor of the event, and Jolt will feature the custom car he painted during a live demonstration at Westword's Artopia. He'll also preview a new documentary that was filmed during the process of painting the massive mural he completed last year on Osage Street.

"This is the moment I've always worked for," says Jolt. "Opportunities are presenting themselves because of all the work I've put in. It kind of feels like at this point, I can celebrate some success. It's not so much of a struggle anymore to make it as an artist, and I'm crazy happy about it."

GuerillaGarden is at 3821 A Steele Street; the free party runs from 7 p.m. to midnight and will include beer courtesy of Wynkoop Brewing Company and music from DJ Wayzout. Get more information at www.guerillagarden.com.
