5280 Burger Bar opened earlier this month in Denver Pavilions, but it will celebrate its grand opening at 11 a.m. today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a free scoop of 5280 Ice Cream chocolate “ribbon,” a one-day special of homemade Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream with a ribbon of Callebaut Belgian Chocolate, for everyone who purchases a burger — and that’s a burger made with 100 percent natural beef from Colorado ranches, with no growth hormones or antibiotics. The restaurant makes homemade American cheese daily, as well as sauces, spreads and dressings; an in-house baker makes fresh buns every day.
The ice cream at 5280 Ice Cream is also made in-house; there are sixteen flavors offered daily, including eight “everyday” flavors and eight feature flavors. You can also get the ice cream in 5280 Burger Bar shakes and $10 adult milkshakes, called ShakeTails.
5280 Burgers is open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
