Two of Denver’s meal mainstays are celebrating their birthdays this weekend — and you’re invited to join in the festivities.
Here are the invitations:
The second location of Marczyk Fine Foods, the 2012 Best Store on Colfax winner at 5100 East Colfax Avenue, is celebrating a year in business with an old-fashioned New England clam bake: one pound lobster, Massachusetts steamers, an ear of Colorado sweet corn and local potatoes dressed in butter; all wrapped in foil and cooked over an open fire. Dinners are limited and pre-sales end today; call 303-243-3355 to order. There will also be Niman Ranch smoked pork butt, house-made mozzarella, baguettes and chocolate chip cookies available for tasting. The bake-out runs from 1 to 6 p.m.
And Novo Coffee‘s tenth anniversary party goes down from 4 to 11 p.m. this evening at the company’s roasting facility, 3008 Larimer Street. The party includes live music, food, beer, wine and, of course, coffee; with coffee demonstrations, a barista competition and more. “It’s going to be a blast,” says co-founder Herb Brodsky. “Last year over 500 people showed up — everyone is welcome!”
