The riotous pig races are always a big draw, as is the pancake breakfast, live music and parade of barbecue grills, barrels and smokers that take over Main Street. Back in Denver, Randolph’s Restaurant and Bar, 1776 Grant Street, is also heating up the grill with its “Who’s Your Daddy BB” event, a pre-Father’s Day celebration that includes Breckenridge Brewery beer flights, burgers and more for $35 per person. The event kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday on Randolph’s wrap-around patio, and reservations can be made by calling 303-318-7272.

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, Osteria Marco, 1453 Larimer Street, is conducting a summer entertaining and “Party Pitchers” cocktail class focusing on summer libations that can be made in big batches. The class, which includes lunch and cocktail recipes, is $35 per person; call 303-534-5855 for reservations.
