$25,000

If you’ve been looking forward to a sizzling sugar steak to kick off this year’s Independence Day, you’ll have to reschedule. Bastien’s Restaurant, a Denver’s Best Low-End Steakhouse winner and 2010’s Best Addition to the National Register of Historic Places, will be closed all next week.

Co-owner Jeannine Bastien confirms that the famous, retro-fantastic Colfax steakhouse will close for its annual summer vacation starting Sunday, July 1. Bastien’s will reopen on Monday, July 9, for dinner.

But next week, anyone who wants to celebrate the Fourth with a patriotic sidecar and order of fried cheesecake will have to look elsewhere.
