The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $25,000 by August 9.
Last month we reported that Michael Burgermeister, awash with inspiration from markets all over the country (including New York’s Eataly), was moving Boulder-based Bayleaf to a larger Pearl Street location, where he could expand his offerings.
At the time, manager Mischa Delaney told us that Bayleaf would keep its Parisian roots but bring in more local goods, such as Udi’s breads and locally made jams and jellies, as well as more imported foods that could easily be cooked and assembled at home.
The shop also added a cake case, featuring Kim & Jake’s Cakes. Those new victuals supplement the lines of housewares, linens and gifts that the shop already specialized in.
The move is now complete, and the new store, at 1222 A Pearl Street in Boulder, opened just in time for Black Friday and the onslaught of holiday shoppers.
