Bittersweet will launch a new tasting menu today, to be offered on the third Thursday of each month, featuring dishes inspired by each member of its culinary team. The seasonal, chef-inspired menu will feature four courses with a wine pairing for $60. (Bittersweet will also feature its regular menu.) As part of the Voices Women+Film Festival, Sie FilmCenter will be screening Soul of a Banquet today at 8 p.m. Directed by Wayne Wang, Soul of a Banquet takes viwers into the world of Cecilia Chiang, the woman who introduced America to authentic Chinese food. In 1961 Chiang opened The Mandarin in San Francisco, and she went on to change the course of cuisine in America. Tickets are $12 or $10 for Denver Film Society members; get them tickets here.
