Boulder Organic Pizza opened almost two years ago in a market already near-saturated with pizza joints, with a business plan that called for carving out an ingredient-focused niche. Two weeks ago, though, BOP packed away the pizza peels and closed for good, giving up the lease to Troy Guard — who owns TAG and TAG|RAW BAR in Denver — and H Burger Co.; the two planned to collaborate on a taqueria.

As Eater reported yesterday, though, Guard has left the project — which was going to be named T|ACO — and the fate of the Boulder address is now unclear. (Guard is out of town.)

Signage on the building suggests that a taco shop is still coming — and coming soon — but the official word at H Burger is that there is no official word; the company won’t confirm whether it’s still working on a taqueria in that space. “We’re in limbo with everything that’s going on,” says a manager at the LoDo restaurant. “We don’t want to say anything about it.”
