May is National Burger Month (unofficially) — as if you needed an excuse to head over to one of the many notable purveyors of beef in this town.
Here are a couple of good deals at two of our favorite spots:
Juicy Burgers & Dogs, 6830 South Yosemite Street in Englewood — our pick for Best Burger in 2012 — is featuring the Pastrami & Swiss Burger (a customer favorite) for only $7.02. The burger comes with mustard and sauerkraut and is served on a pumpernickel bun from Breadworks Bakery in Boulder.
And every Tuesday through Friday during lunch service at Highland Tap & Burger, 2219 West 32nd Avenue — which earned Best Fancy Burger this year — you can get a select, local craft beer and a burger for just $10. This month’s featured beer is Ranger IPA from New Belgium. Coincidentally, Highland also gets its buns from Breadworks, which are all made with 100 percent organic flour.
