Q: A close friend from New York just moved here and is dying for a great cannoli. Where can I find the best cannoli in town?

A:When people want an authentic New York experience in Denver, I usually tell them to fuggedaboudit. But the cannoli at Santino’s on Downing (2390 South Downing Street, 303-298-1939) is the real deal: Crunchy cannoli shells wrapped around a homemade concoction of cream, ricotta cheese and powdered sugar, sweet enough but not too sugary, creamy on the tongue, with a super-smooth consistency.
