Chopsticks China Bistro, the great Szechuan Chinese on the corner of Federal and Mississippi, was supposed to pack up this month for a move to a tony new address at 5117 South Yosemite Street in Greenwood Village, but according to owner-chef David Lee, that didn’t quite happen.

“We’re hoping to open sometime during the second week in September,” he told me yesterday when I called to check on the progress, which has been slow due to construction issues. Then he added that I should call back right around then…just to make sure.

In the meantime, Lee is still turning out the best soup dumplings in the city at his current location at 2990 West Mississippi.
