A reader tipped us off that a sign had recently resurfaced on the property of Brittany Hill, 9350 Grant Street in Thornton, spurring questions over whether the event center was still on track to open in early 2011— or if it was up (again) for sale or lease.

JoeAnn Falco, Brittany Hill’s owner, assures us that she and her husband, John, are still moving forward.

“It’s not true,” she says, responding to rumors that the spot may be up for grabs. “And it’ll still stay the same as far as opening early next year.”

She also notes that delays are due to litigation with the previous owners, California-based Specialty Restaurant Corporation. She had hoped to settle those problems in September, but now it looks like they’ll have to battle things out in front of a judge, which has delayed some of the repairs demanded by the City of Thornton.
