With fall in the air and Thanksgiving lurking around the corner, Arby’s, our favorite purveyor of probably-roast-beef sandwiches, is introducing three new “hot turkey roasters” sandwiches, and will be offering freebies today — no coupons or Facebook-liking needed.
Arby’s will celebrate the launch of the new sandwich line by offering anyone who visits an Arby’s between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. today one free turkey roaster sandwich.
There are three sandwiches to choose from: the grand turkey club with sliced, roast turkey, melted Swiss cheese, pepper bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo on a toasted harvest wheat bun; the roast turkey ‘n cheddar with thinly sliced, oven-roasted turkey topped with cheddar cheese and Arby’s signature red ranch sauce on a toasted onion roll; and the roast turkey classic: turkey on a toasted sesame seed bun. (That last sandwich may need some Horsey sauce, since there is only turkey and bun to it.)
Although I find Arby’s signature roast beef to be of strange texture, consistency and flavor, I am genuinely hoping that it can get turkey right. After all, the turkeys already did almost all of the work toward making their flesh moist, delicious and human mouth-ready. But since free food automatically tastes better than the kind you have to pay for, no reason not to get more than your money’s worth at an Arby’s today.
