$20,000

From almost the moment it opened, Patrick Dupay’s lovely bistro, Z Cuisine (at 2239 West 30th), was so popular that expansion was inevitable — if awkward, since the space right next door wasn’t available, so in January 2008  Z Cuisine a Cote, a Parisian wine bar, opened two doors away, at 2245 West 30th Avenue.

They may not share a common wall, but the two Z locations share common hours: from 5 p.m. to midnight Wednesday through Saturday. For now. As of February 17, A Cote will also be open on Tuesdays, too, when it will offer all night the happy-hour specials currently available only from 5 to 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. to midnight. For updates, go to www.zcuisineonline.com.
