Advertising Can't Do It Alone
The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $25,000 by August 9.
“Sustainable, eco-friendly, reusable, recyclable, fair trade, natural, energy efficient, organic, local, green, low-impact, fresh. These are words that inspire us at Organixx. From the building materials that surround you in our dining room, to our food product choices, culinary procedures and sanitation practices, we strive to have those words define our actions.”
I read this and I’m thinking, “Oh, crap. Not again…”
Which is why it’s a good thing I didn’t review Organixx only on the strength of its promotional material-slash-mission statement. If I had, I never would’ve made it inside; never would’ve voluntarily gone within a block of the place for fear of some of its green-washing rubbing off on me.
Instead, i set aside my green phobia and tried Organixx. And I and was glad I did because, all buzzwords aside, this restaurant truly surprised me. To find out how, all you have to do is keep your eyes glued to this space and check out the review when it goes live in just a few hours.
