GB Fish & Chips, the lively British chippie at 1311 South Broadway whose “In cod we trust” motto has generated a loyal following of ex-pats, will soon be battering that fish in its second location at 2175 Sheridan Boulevard, directly across the street from Sloan’s Lake. But while the sign notes that the new outpost is “coming soon,” the physical space, which is currently nothing more than four walls and a concrete floor, appears to be coming later.
Still, that it’s coming at all is royally good news for westside fans of battered and fried fin, bangers & mash, pasties, shepherd’s pie, English ales and soccer on the telly.
