Heineken and the Coors Distributing Company are hosting an event at Space Gallery from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight to introduce the new Heineken Star Bottle, which will be available at local retail liquor shops and bars by the end of the week.
Heineken created the new Star Bottle, its first package change in almost two decades, to give the brand a more upscale look.

The Star Bottle packaging for Heineken and Heineken Light is available in 12 ounce and 22 ounce sizes, and features a slimmer neck, a curved embossment and even a low-thumb groove to keep the beer colder. But while the packaging has evolved, the beer is still made from the original 1886 recipe.
The company has also introduced the “Star App,” giving consumers the opportunity to receive giveaways when they scan their bottle.
